(worldkings.org) The beluga is a species of sturgeon that inhabits portions of the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. Some of the largest belugas discovered have been nearly 7.2 m long and weigh more than 1,500kg. On May 28th, 2022, World Records Union (WorldKings) officially declared Beluga sturgeon as “World’s largest freshwater fish”.
