The regulations of World Records Union (WorldKings) outline the guidelines required for individuals or entities to attempt, set, or break world records. These regulations ensure fairness, consistency, and accuracy in the recognition of achievements.
- Application process:
- Registration: Individuals or entities download the WorldKings World Record Application Form and fill in the detailed information. A valid application form must contain complete registration information and the applicant's signature.
- Confirmation: WorldKings will review the application to ensure that the information meets the criteria required for a world record evaluation.
- Guidelines for Record Attempts:
- WorldKings provides professional guidance to determine the record category.
- Applicants must comply with the guidelines provided by WorldKings.
- Documentation and Verification:
- Evidence Submission: Applicants must submit sufficient evidence, including:
Photographs and videos as proof,ect.
- Witness verification from authorized organizations (from independent witnesses or experts);
- Logbooks or timers, depending on the type of record.
- Costs and Fees:
- Record-setting fee: Certain records may require a fee, especially for expedited processing.
- Specialist fees: For events requiring direct verification, applicants must cover travel, accommodation, and fees for the specialist adjudicators.
- Categories and Prohibitions:
WorldKings does not accept record registrations involving activities that include:
+ Danger or illegal acts.
+ Environmental harm.
+ Subjective criteria (e.g., “the most beautiful painting”).
- Post-Record Attempt Process:
- After attempting a record, all images, videos, and supporting documents must be submitted to WorldKings for review.
- If successful, WorldKings will issue a world record certificate, publish the information through media channels, and archive it in their database system.
- Maintaining Records:
- WorldKings reserves the right to revoke records or record categories when they are no longer suitable or relevant.
- Record holders may need to defend their records against challengers.
