(Worldkings.org) The age of this huge stone is many time older than the Roman Empire, with about 2000 years before the day Alexander The Great came to conquer the Baalbek and made this city became “the destination for the Pilgrimages” named Heliopolis.

Baalbek is a town located in Bekaa Valley of Lebanon, at the height of 1170 meters. This town is famous for the temples built under the Roman Regime and also one of the best preserved archaeological sites in the World.

A part of this ruins located near the Litani River Bank at Bekaa Valley, Lebanon under the regime of Roman Empire, but most of the ruins are belong to “an older civilization” and this ruins are considered as one of the most valuable wonders in the World.

The Temples of the Roman Gods such as Mercury, Jupiter and Venus are ones of the best preserved precious things in the World today. Besides that, the experts also find out the evidence about the “local characteristics” of this temples when show that these temples also worship the local gods such as Hadad and Atargatis. But the main things that create the miracle of these stone structures are their megalith foundations.
