Sparkling water typically requires one of two routines: buying cans and bottles from the store or keeping a countertop soda maker permanently installed in the kitchen. The SodaTop takes a different approach, bringing the carbonation mechanism into an insulated bottle that can be used at home, at work or while traveling.

The system consists of a stainless-steel bottle and a compact carbonation mechanism powered by small CO₂ canisters. Because carbonation creates pressure inside the container, the bottle uses specially engineered threaded fittings designed for this purpose. To make sparkling water, users fill the bottle to its internal marked line, insert the CO₂ canister and twist the cap into place. The carbonation process takes approximately three seconds, while a pressure-release mechanism keeps the gas contained until the bottle is ready to drink.

Portability is central to the design. Roam says the SodaTop occupies roughly one-fifth the footprint of a conventional countertop soda maker, making it easier to carry in a bag or store in a drawer. It can therefore move between a desk, hotel room or outdoor destination without requiring a separate appliance.

The bottle itself uses triple-wall construction to keep beverages cold for up to 24 hours and ice for up to 48 hours. The insulation also supports carbonation because colder water retains CO₂ more efficiently, helping the fizz remain present as the drink is consumed.

Inside, the bottle features what Roam calls MirrorTech, a mirror-polished steel surface designed to help preserve carbonation, resist odor buildup and reduce flavor transfer. A wide mouth makes it easier to add ice and pour, while the internal fill line provides a consistent reference for the amount of water used during carbonation.

The CO₂ canisters are made from recycled steel and are fully recyclable. Roam also offers Natural Flavor Essence Drops in eight varieties: Ginger Root, White Peach, Sicilian Lemon, Yuzu Lime, Blood Orange, Strawberry, Grapefruit and Mango. The plant-based flavorings contain zero sugar and zero calories and are certified keto, paleo, vegan, gluten-free, kosher and non-GMO.

SodaTop is available in Pebble, Sage and Charcoal finishes, each with a contrasting base accent. Rather than looking like a conventional kitchen appliance, its form is closer to premium drinkware, reinforcing the product's central idea: sparkling water should be something users can take with them, not something tied to a countertop.
