Monako Glass brings AI-assisted coding to a wearable Linux computer

Monako Glass is capable of running AI coding platforms such as Claude Code and Codex, enabling users to generate, review, and modify code through natural interaction. The company also allows developers to deploy their own custom AI agents, providing flexibility for specialized workflows. According to Monako, the Linux environment is fully accessible, allowing users to modify or replace pre-installed software with their own applications.

Interaction is handled through a gesture-recognition system called Vision Engine. Using the integrated camera, the system translates hand and finger movements into digital commands. Actions such as raising a hand, pinching fingers, or making subtle gestures can be used to navigate applications, scroll through generated code, or control media playback without physical controllers.

Another notable feature is the bone-conduction microphone integrated into the bridge of the glasses. Instead of relying primarily on airborne sound, it detects vibrations from the user's nasal bone, helping isolate voice input from surrounding noise. This approach is intended to improve voice-command accuracy in busy environments such as cafés, offices, or public spaces.

By combining wearable computing, Linux flexibility, gesture controls, and AI-powered coding tools, Monako Glass represents an emerging category of devices designed to support hands-free software development and productivity in the age of artificial intelligence.
