The Link is designed to operate quietly in the background rather than constantly demanding attention. Its slim form avoids the display and controls commonly associated with smartwatches and fitness trackers. It is available in Halo Gold, Onyx Black and Sterling Blue, with both small and large silicone bands included. The device is water-resistant to 50 meters and can provide up to five days of battery life depending on usage.

For health tracking, Link continuously records activity, steps, sleep, heart rate and heart rate variability. The accompanying Luffu app uses this information to establish an understanding of a user's normal patterns and identify changes over time that may deserve attention. The platform can also incorporate information such as medications, meals, symptoms and appointments, creating a broader picture of wellbeing that can be shared within a family.

A dedicated voice button provides another way to capture information. Holding the button allows users to record notes about medication, symptoms, meals, mood, reminders or other details. These recordings are transferred to the Luffu app, where AI helps organize them alongside the user's broader health information. A double press can send a simple check-in message to selected contacts.

The LTE connection becomes particularly important for safety. Link includes GPS and cellular connectivity, allowing it to share a user's location and contact trusted people even when a smartphone is unavailable. A wearer can send a help request containing contextual information such as location, battery level, heart rate and recent activity. Cellular service is included rather than requiring a separate carrier plan. However, the device contacts designated trusted people rather than emergency services such as 911.

Luffu is particularly focused on adults balancing multiple caregiving responsibilities, including looking after children, aging parents and pets while monitoring their own wellbeing. The device can also provide discreet safety support for older adults who live independently and do not want to wear a conventional emergency pendant.

Link is currently available for preorder in the United States, with shipping planned for early 2027. It requires a separate Luffu Family Plan supporting up to four members. The device supports iOS 18 and later as well as Android 14 and later, with service initially limited to the US.

Rather than turning wearable technology into another information-heavy screen, Luffu Link treats the device as a quiet connection between health data, personal safety and the people who matter most.
