Blizwheel F0.5 refines the ultra-foldable electric scooter with larger wheels and suspension

24-08-2026

(worldkings.org) Blizwheel’s F0.5 is the latest evolution of the company’s compact folding scooter concept, combining a 50 cm folded length with larger 5.5-inch wheels, a polyurethane suspension system and several electric configurations. The redesign focuses on improving durability while preserving the portability that defined the earlier generation.

The F0.5 is built around a 0.5-meter folding mechanism that allows the scooter to collapse to exactly 50 cm in length. According to the company’s product video, folding or unfolding can take around six seconds, although the exact configuration varies across the F0.5 range. The Air version weighs 7.4 kg, making it heavier than its predecessor but still relatively light compared with conventional commuter scooters.

Much of the redesign addresses the structural limitations of the earlier model. The F0.5 uses 5.5-inch wheels, replacing the 3-inch solid wheels found on the 2021 version. The larger wheels incorporate internal air pockets that allow them to flex under pressure. They do not rely on conventional pneumatic tires, eliminating the usual risk of punctures while providing some cushioning over uneven surfaces.

Blizwheel has also integrated a proprietary central polyurethane suspension system. A specialized rear hinge in the chassis can flex slightly under impact, helping absorb road vibration and reducing the chance of the frame bottoming out when passing over small obstacles. The structure also carries a splash-resistant rating intended to protect internal electronics from dust and water spray during damp conditions.

The F0.5 family includes several configurations. The Lite is a non-electric mechanical kick scooter, while the Standard uses a single motor. The Air combines electric propulsion with a dual-battery configuration, and the Pro is the range-topping model. Its two 250W hub motors provide all-wheel drive and are designed to climb slopes of up to 15%. Blizwheel claims a maximum range of 20 km and a charging time of up to two hours.

Top speed varies by market. The US version is limited to 15 mph, while the international model reaches 25 km/h. The Pro also includes a private-property mode that raises the maximum speed to 20 mph, or 32 km/h.

Local regulations remain an important consideration. Electric-scooter rules have become increasingly restrictive in parts of the United States and Europe, including restrictions on sidewalk riding and, in some locations, broader limitations on use. Prospective users should therefore verify local requirements before purchasing or operating the vehicle.

The F0.5 is currently being crowdfunded through Kickstarter. Following durability and manufacturing challenges with its earlier folding scooter, Blizwheel’s latest model represents a more robust interpretation of the company’s original goal: making electric urban mobility compact enough to fold away almost anywhere.
