Europe is home to some of the most incredible clubs and venues in the world. But with the pandemic forcing these spaces to keep their doors shut for months, all this vibrancy and energy has been put on hold.
Desperados’ mission is to promote diversity and acceptance on international dancefloors. To make the party scene a space where anyone is welcome through playful, heart pumping, innovative experiences. The goal of Rave to Save is to bring people of all backgrounds together after two harrowing years and give them a unifying purpose: to make the world a better place one dance step at a time.
The ‘Rave to Save’ is developed with the the pedometer-driven app, to create a unique and impactful gamified party. The app is integrated with branded LED wristbands which allowed it to capture individual and group data. Each individual step counted was translated into a monetary figure. The more they danced, the more money raised for inclusive charities. Step milestones also translated into incredible party moments such as confetti drops and live performances for the crowd, and prizes for individuals such as free drinks and backstage passes.
For every 1,000 steps taken by partygoers on the Rave to Save app, €1 was donated to support eight different clubs across Europe where the virtual parties will be hosted. Purple Disco Machine played the first party in Berlin, and more are planned for the UK and Ibiza.
