Sunraysia Institute of TAFE is an education provider based in the far north-west corner of Victoria and is the largest government funded training provider in the region. The institute was established in 1980 as the Sunraysia College of TAFE. It was renamed the Sunraysia Institute of TAFE on 2 October 1995. It is instigated by a number of local educators who recognised that the introduction of post-secondary education was integral to the needs of the growing community and regional industry.

SuniTAFE offers a comprehensive range of vocational courses, all of which are geared to providing students with the skills and training they require to gain employment and progress in their chosen industry. Some of the courses offered are in the areas of skills shortages that includes horticulture, conservation and land management, irrigation, business, transport and distribution, health and community services, commercial cookery and hospitality, building and construction, engineering, automotive and other trades. The Institute also specializes in multimedia, visual arts and language and literacy training.

While starting out small, SuniTAFE has grown into a vibrant educational community that includes two main campuses located at Mildura and Swan Hill, a rural campus at Robinvale, and a training farm at Cardross near Mildura. Nearly 30 years on from its inception, SuniTAFE has had a huge impact on the community and industry of the Sunraysia district and surrounds. Its commitment to facilitating access to quality vocational education and training to regional and rural students has seen it grow to be the largest educational provider in north-west Victoria.

The institute has more than 8000 local students and many international students studying from 16 countries. Student Support Services department provides free and confidential services to students and staff across all SuniTAFE campuses. Services include disability support, information, resources, counselling and referral services which meet individual student needs.

Dedicated to providing a high-quality vocational education for the region and the country, the Sunraysia Institute of TAFE was awarded Australia's No. 1 Training Provider in 2019.
