Schneider Electric SE is a French multinational company providing energy and automation digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability. It addresses homes, buildings, data centers, infrastructure and industries, by combining energy technologies, real-time automation, software and services.
Schneider Electric has had its head office in the Trianon site in Rueil-Malmaison, France since 2000. The current headquarters, also located in Rueil-Malmaison, previously housed Schneider subsidiary Télémécanique while the parent company occupied a site in Boulogne-Billancourt.
The origin of the company is the steel and armaments factories of Schneider-Creusot and other industrial concerns in 1836. It was ultimately renamed Schneider Electric in May 1999.
Sustainability is its purpose and commitment to deliver positive impact on Economy, Planet and People. Schneider Electric has climbed the annual Global 100 index, from a ranking of 29 last year, offering the technology and energy solutions needed by the likes of retailer Walmart, hotel group Marriott and steel business ArcelorMittal to meet their climate targets.
