(WorldKings.org) Inheriting the founding architect's spirit who sought to “fuse engineering and design” while simultaneously being an entrepreneur, Kume Sekkei would like to contribute to society through design activities that value the individuality of designers and engineers as an "atelier-type comprehensive design firm."

Kume Sekkei Co., Ltd. is a comprehensive studio type architecture design firm in Japan. Susumu Fujisawa is the president. Kume Sekkei provides consistent services from project launch to design and operation after completion with a focus not only on architectural design and supervision but also on various types of management services and solutions, environmental engineering, and structural engineering.

Kume Sekkei was founded in the year 1932 by Dr. Gonkuro Kume as a private architectural design office (atelier office) and has currently grown to an organization of approximately 650 professionals.

Gonkuro Kume studied advanced architectural technologies in Germany and established Kume Architects & Engineers in 1932. He came up with the Kume Earthquake-Resistant Wood Structure, which improved the earthquake resistance of wooden buildings in Japan, and was adopted in many buildings.

Inheriting the founding architect's spirit who sought to “fuse engineering and design” while simultaneously being an entrepreneur, Kume Sekkei would like to contribute to society through design activities that value the individuality of designers and engineers as an "atelier-type comprehensive design firm."

Kume Sekkei's projects are diverse, ranging from urban development to hotels, cultural facilities, and university facilities. In addition to Japan, Kume Sekkei are widely involved in overseas projects in China, Vietnam, and many other countries.
