1910: Lee Byung Chul was born in South Gyeyongsang, Korea.

1931: graduated in Waseda University, Japan.

1938: founded Samsung Trading Company, and then 1951 founded Samsung Corporation.

1964: established Samsung Scholarship.

1979-1987: establish Samsung Semiconductor, Samsung Medical Equipment Co, Samsung Data System, and Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology.

1961-1987: chairman of Samsung Corporation until he died.
