1894: born in Indiana, US.
1912: became airplane mechanic, and in 1913 employed by Glen L. Martin Company, eventually became General Manager before leaving there to join in Consolidated Aircraft Corporation in 1928.
1935: formed the Bell Aircraft Corporation, mainly focused on producing fighter airplane.
1946: developed and produced the commercial licensed helicopter.
1947: produced the rocket power Bell X1 that break the sound barrier.
1956: passed away.
