Donki has over 160 locations throughout Japan, 15 in Singapore, 9 in Hong Kong, 6 in Thailand, 3 in Hawaii and Malaysia, 2 in Taiwan, and 1 in Macau.
Don Quijote provides a wide range of products, from basic groceries to electronics and clothing. The store is well known in Japan and Singapore and is often referred to by its shortened name Donki.
Since then, the usage of the "Donki" label for the store has become more commonly used beyond the two countries that have the store. Distinctly, Don Quijote tends to keep very late hours for Japanese retailing (to 3 or 5 am, or even 24 hours) and it packs its goods from ceiling to floor in a distinct merchandising strategy.
