Thousands of Pikachus parade through Pokémon festival

10-08-2016

(Worldkings) An Outbreak of Pikachus swarmed the streets of Yokohama, a port city west of Tokyo, on Sunday.

At least that's what the name of the Japanese festival roughly translates to.

Pikachu Tairyou Hassei-Chu is a week-long Pokémon festival that's been going on since 2014.

Every year organisers hope the Pikachu parade will attract foreign tourists to the city – especially this year following the release of the Pokémon Go app.

Who doesn't love Pikachu, right?
