Ren AI Pan is a distinctive project in which Japan's oldest bakery, Kimuraya, collaborated with the electronics company NEC Corp, applying AI technology to analyze data from tens of thousands of love songs and conversations on the TV program "Kyou, suki ni narimashita" (translated as "Today, I Fell in Love") to compile a "top 50" list of dishes that express romantic feelings.

Through analysis, the company identified 5 key emotions in love: first encounter, first date, jealousy, heartbreak, and mutual love. Subsequently, NEC's AI technology combined with Kimuraya's skilled bakers to transform these 5 types of emotions into various types of soft bread with different flavors.
The "Fateful Encounter" bread has a cotton candy flavor, symbolizing the sweet emotions of initial love sparks. The "Jealousy" bread features purple sweet potato flavor, truffle oil, and raisins. The "First Date" bread has lemon and orange flavors, while the "Mutual Love" bread carries the sweet taste of honey, peaches, and dragon fruit.

Through market research, Kimuraya discovered that an increasing number of youths are indifferent to romantic relationships despite still desiring to find a life partner to grow old with.
The bread products created by AI replicate romantic flavors to evoke feelings of love as diners consume them, thereby inspiring young people to incorporate these romantic feelings into their personal lives. The love bread is available for purchase from early February to early April. Tourists can buy them at supermarkets in the Kanto region and through Kimuraya Bakery's online store.
