Natural Beauty of Jiuzhaigou

Jiuzhaigou is known as a fairyland, far from the mundane world, with a pristine environment, fresh air, snow-capped mountains, along with dense green forests and calm lakes that mirror the sky, creating a stunning natural landscape.

Jiuzhaigou has been the habitat of the Tibetan and Qiang people for many centuries. The name 'Jiuzhaigou' originates from the nine Tibetan villages within this scenic area.

Jiuzhaigou was recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage site in 1992 and a World Biosphere Reserve in 1997. It is also classified as an AAAAA scenic area (5A - the highest level) by the China National Tourism Administration.
