In 2020- COVID19 and global lockdown have drastically changed the way we learn and changed global educational landscape forever. "The idea of running Mental Math Record Competition in Hybrid mode - was our way of reaching out to many students, giving them an opportunity to be part of large scale interactive event, from the safety of their homes" - Aliya Maulesheva, head of UCMAS Russia Academy and founding member of Eurasian Society.
332 children participated the event via virtual platform
UCMAS Russia Academy prosoposed the idea of first ever mental math record being reached by hundreds of kids aged between 5-15 from all across Russia and Kazakhstan. Innovative- HYBRYD mode of the event, drew inspiration from Harvard Business School Online learning, as Aliya Maulesheva is a former student of online courses.
The event took place from studio with 360 degrees screen in Moscow with the support of 15 members technical team
The event took place from studio with 360 degrees screen in Moscow with the support of 15 members technical team. All participants were connected through Online ZOOM platform - at the same time, allowing more than 300 kids to be present at the event live! All children were solving 21 Mathematical Sequence ( in honour of 2021 year) at the same time, while being visible on a giant screen to all representatives from the World Records Union (WorldKings) online/live.
