In alignment with the Vietnamese government's initiatives to enhance physical development and well-being - namely, the Overall Project on the Physical Development and Stature of the Vietnamese People (2011-2030) under Decision 641/QD-TTg and the School Health Program (2021-2025) under Decision 1660/QD-TTg—S-Race has evolved into a highly anticipated annual event. Attracting hundreds of thousands of students nationwide, this tournament fosters a culture of physical activity and healthy living. Organized by Unic Group in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, the Sports Department of Vietnam Television, and TH Food Chain Joint Stock Company, S-Race continues to make a significant impact on youth fitness and community engagement.

Over the past four years, S-Race has played a vital role in enhancing the health and physical fitness of children and students across Vietnam. By promoting school sports, the event not only fosters an active lifestyle but also contributes to improving the stature and overall quality of the nation’s human resources. This initiative serves as a crucial foundation for Vietnam’s long-term, sustainable development.

In 2024, S-Race hosted two major in-person events in Thua Thien Hue (March 9) and Ho Chi Minh City (October 5), bringing the message “For Vietnamese Stature” to a nationwide audience through a live broadcast on Vietnam Television. Beyond these flagship races, S-Race 2024 also organized eight celebratory runs at high schools and universities across Cao Bang, Tay Bac, Nam Dinh, Phu Yen, Thua Thien Hue, Dong Thap, Dong Nai, and Ho Chi Minh City, spanning from March 6 to October 29.

In addition, S-Race 2024 launched two nationwide online running campaigns - S-Race Family Online and S-Race School Online, held across various provinces and cities from June 16 to November 4, 2024, further expanding participation and engagement.

After more than nine months of organization, S-Race 2024 successfully attracted 112,367 athletes, receiving widespread support from provinces, cities, and schools across Vietnam. The event has fostered a dynamic ecosystem that connects families and schools while promoting awareness of the importance of physical activity for students.
In recognition of its remarkable achievements, the World Records Union (WorldKings) officially certified S-Race 2024 with the world record for “The school running competition held in both in-person and onlineformats, featuring the world’s highestnumber of participating athletes.” This prestigious record was awarded to the S-Race 2024 Running Competition Organization and TH Food Chain Joint Stock Company at a ceremony held on the morning of March 29, 2025, in Ha Tinh province, Vietnam.

Following the world record awarding ceremony, the S-Race 2025 Announcement Ceremony was officially launched in Ha Tinh. The event brought together over 10,000 athletes, including 4,200 participants at the in-person race at Tran Phu Square and more than 6,000 others joining response events across all 11 districts and towns of Ha Tinh province.
Looking ahead, S-Race 2025 will expand its scope by introducing dedicated competition events for primary school students. This milestone also marked the official launch of the S-Race Family Online 2025 nationwide running challenge, further strengthening community engagement and promoting physical activity across Vietnam.
