“THE WANDERING BALLAD OF CỤ MÉN” – A UNIQUE EPIC ABOUT THE MORDEN VIETNAMESE FARMER

“The Wandering Ballad of Cụ Mén” (2026) by Lawyer and entrepreneur Pham Hong Diep is a modern Vietnamese epic comprising 100 poems (5,040 verses) in multiple forms. It depicts the Vietnamese farmer’s journey from traditional rural life toward broader, modern horizons.

On April 22, 2026, in Hanoi, during the launch ceremony of “The Wandering Ballad of Cụ Mén” and “The Adventures of the Red Carp,” the World Records Union (WorldKings) officially recognized a new world record for Mr. Pham Hong Diep.

The ceremony was attended by leaders of the Vietnam Records Organization (Vietkings), including Dr. Le Doan Hop – former Minister of Information and Communications and Chairman of the Vietnam Records Organization Establishment Council; Mr. Hoang Thai Tuan Anh – Secretary General of the Indochina Records Organization and Head of the Northern Representative Office of VietKings; Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuong Van – Deputy Secretary General and Head of the International Division; and Mrs. Pham Thi Van – Deputy Head of the Northern Representative Office.

VietKings submitted the nomination dossier to the World Records Union (WorldKings). After evaluation, the World Records Union officially recognized the World Record for Mr. Pham Hong Diep: The lawyer and businessman who composed the modern epic “The Wandering Ballad of Cụ Mén” about the Vietnamese farmer with the largest number of poems in the world. WorldKings also authorized VietKings to announce and present the World Record certificate at the event.
