The autonomous store operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the year, providing continuous access to essential health and wellness products. Its product range includes skincare and cosmetics, vitamins and dietary supplements, personal hygiene products, maternal and baby care items, first-aid supplies, and over-the-counter health monitoring devices. As a parapharmacy, Pharma&Go does not dispense prescription medicines that require direct supervision and consultation by a licensed pharmacist.

The technology behind Pharma&Go was developed by Portuguese retail technology company Sensei, whose autonomous retail platform integrates computer vision, sensor fusion, and artificial intelligence to accurately track products rather than relying on biometric identification of customers. This privacy-focused approach enables frictionless shopping while protecting users' personal data. Store personnel are only required to replenish inventory and perform maintenance, rather than assist with routine transactions.

According to the developers, the objective of Pharma&Go is not to replace pharmacists but to automate repetitive retail operations, allowing healthcare professionals to devote more time to clinical services and personalized patient care.
