“Towers 4 Change” is a major charity stair-climbing event held in Melbourne, Australia, and has been promoted as the largest charity stair-climbing event in Oceania. The event debuted on March 30, 2025, at the West Side Place development in Melbourne’s central business district. It was designed as Australia’s first four-tower vertical marathon challenge, combining physical endurance with large-scale fundraising for charitable causes.

The challenge takes place across four skyscraper towers within the West Side Place complex. Participants can choose to climb a single tower or complete the full “vertical marathon,” which covers 286 floors and 5,148 stairs. The tallest tower in the challenge reaches 82 levels and includes 1,476 stairs. Climbers participate individually or in teams, turning the event into both a competitive fitness challenge and a community fundraiser.
More than 350 participants joined the inaugural edition of Towers 4 Change in 2025. Organizers initially aimed to raise over AUD 400,000 for charity, and reports indicated that the event generated more than AUD 170,000 during its first year. The event partnered with several charitable organizations, including the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, the Friedreich Ataxia Research Association Australia, the Good Friday Appeal, and the Victorian Homeless Fund.
The event has attracted attention because of its unusual “four-building vertical marathon” concept, which organizers described as a world-first format. By combining urban skyscraper climbing with charity fundraising, Towers 4 Change has become one of the most ambitious stair-climbing charity events in the Oceania region.
