The Window of the World is a theme park located in the western part of the city of Shenzhen in the People's Republic of China.
First opened in the 1990s, the theme park is divided into eight scenic areas: World Square, Asia, Europe, Oceania, Africa, America, Sculpture Park and International Street.
Covering an area of 480,000 square meters, Window of the World in Shenzhen is a large-scale theme park designed to show the essence of world's culture. In the park, tourists will see many replicas of landmarks in the world. Meanwhile, it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Shenzhen.
It has about 130 reproductions of some of the most famous tourist attractions in the world squeezed into 48 hectares. The 108 meter tall Eiffel Tower dominates the skyline and the sight of the Pyramids and the Taj Mahal all in proximity to each other are all part of the appeal of this theme park. As a theme park, it surely has some amusement projects, such as Top Speed of Mountain Fuji, Go Across Europe, Fly Through the United States, etc.
The Window of the World also offers a 4,000-m² (43055-ft²) indoor alpine ski slope, an archery field, and a cable car ride through a tropical forest. Evening entertainment shows are also put on every day.
