The annual Southern Traditional Cake Festival, one of the most important national cultural events in Can Tho city, Vietnam, introduces and promotes a diverse variety of distinctive traditional specialties of Can Tho in particular and Vietnam's Southwest area in general. This is also a special opportunity for visitors to learn and gain more knowledge about the regional culinary culture through the preservation and promotion of hundreds of traditional cakes. Since then, Vietnamese have increased production and developed innumerable one-of-a-kind cakes that capture the unique beauty of the southern region.
With the theme of “Preserving and promoting cultural values of Southern traditional cakes”, the festival features more than 300 booths of 22 cities and provinces from across Vietnam. More than 100 different kinds of traditional cakes that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also mouth-watering are being offered to visitors at this event.
