(ASRI) Journey to promote records in Asia (P.480) Shanghai L+SNOW Indoor Skiing Theme Resort: Asia's largest indoor ski resort

08-06-2026

(Worldkings.org) The indoor snow area covers 98,828.7 square metres, equivalent to more than 13 standard football fields.

Shanghai L+SNOW Indoor Skiing Theme Resort is a massive year-round snow and entertainment complex located in the Lingang area of Shanghai, China.

The resort is much more than a simple ski hall. The entire development occupies approximately 350,000 square metres and combines an indoor ski park, snow-themed attractions, hotels, shopping, dining, and a water park into a single destination.

One of its most impressive features is the real-snow ski area, which offers a vertical drop of nearly 60 metres and around 1.2 kilometres of ski runs. The facility includes slopes for different skill levels, from beginners to advanced skiers, along with snow-play zones and winter-themed attractions. The venue contains four ski slopes of varying gradients and can accommodate up to 1,124 skiers at a time.

The resort was developed as part of China's effort to expand winter sports participation following the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. Because Shanghai has a humid subtropical climate with little natural snowfall, the complex allows residents and tourists to experience skiing and snowboarding throughout the year regardless of outdoor weather conditions.
