(worldkings.org) On July 11, 2026, MURI (Indonesian World Records Museum) recognized the record for the largest simultaneous intake of Multiple Micronutrient Supplement (MMS) by pregnant women. The achievement was established in South Sulawesi, as part of the celebrations marking the 54th Unity Movement Day of PKK (HKG PKK).

The initiative was organized by the South Sulawesi Provincial PKK Mobilization Team and carried out simultaneously across all 24 regencies and cities in the province. A total of 39,681 pregnant women participated by consuming Multiple Micronutrient Supplements (MMS) together, creating a large-scale community initiative focused on supporting maternal and child health.

MMS contains a range of essential vitamins and minerals and is intended to help meet the nutritional needs of pregnant women. The supplementation program also supports maternal health as well as fetal growth and development during pregnancy.

The initiative formed part of the PKK's efforts to strengthen the implementation of its 10 Core Programs, including programs aimed at improving family health. By involving pregnant women across all 24 regencies and cities of South Sulawesi, the campaign demonstrated the potential of coordinated community initiatives to raise awareness of nutrition and maternal and child health.

Through the program, the South Sulawesi Provincial PKK Mobilization Team emphasized that well-organized community movements can make a meaningful contribution to efforts to reduce nutritional problems and improve maternal and child health in Indonesia.

With 39,681 pregnant women simultaneously consuming MMS across 24 regencies and cities, the initiative was officially recognized by MURI (Indonesian World Records Museum) as the largest simultaneous Multiple Micronutrient Supplement intake by pregnant women. The achievement became one of the highlights of the 54th HKG PKK celebrations while reinforcing the importance of adequate nutrition for maternal health and child development.
