Intercity Evergreen Veterans Basketball is one of Indonesia's leading competitions for veteran basketball players and longtime enthusiasts of the sport. The annual tournament provides former athletes with an opportunity to remain active in competitive basketball while strengthening friendships and connections within the basketball community.

The 2026 edition featured competitions across a wide range of age categories, ensuring fair competition among veteran athletes. Men's and women's divisions were organized for participants aged 35–40, 40–45, 45–50, and 50–55, while a senior category welcomed players aged 75 years and above. The broad age structure enabled athletes from different generations to compete in an inclusive and well-organized environment.

With 168 participating teams, the tournament demonstrated the continued growth of veterans basketball in Indonesia. Beyond the competition itself, the event served as a gathering place for basketball legends and passionate players, bringing together multiple generations to celebrate their shared love of the game.

By increasing participation from the previous record of 163 teams to 168 teams, the 18th Intercity Evergreen Veterans Basketball Tournament earned official recognition from MURI (Indonesian World Records Museum) as the largest veterans basketball competition by number of participating teams, setting a new benchmark for veteran basketball events in the country.
