The event, titled “Little Hands Big Joy,” was held at the Mapalus Hall of the North Sulawesi Governor’s Office and involved 2,000 children from various regions across the province. It was organized as part of the 2026 Easter celebration series.

During the event, thousands of children simultaneously decorated Easter eggs using colorful artistic designs and creative ideas. The activity created a festive atmosphere while highlighting the creativity, enthusiasm, and unity of the younger generation in North Sulawesi.
North Sulawesi Governor Yulius Selvanus and the Chairperson of the provincial Family Welfare Movement, Anik Yulius Selvanus, attended the event and witnessed the excitement and participation of the children firsthand. According to local officials, the activity was more than just an art event, as it also represented faith, education, and youth creativity.
Following a verification process conducted by the assessment team, MURI confirmed the active participation of 2,000 children simultaneously decorating Easter eggs during the program. A record certificate was then officially presented to the regional government and the event organizers.
The organizers stated that the initiative aimed to ensure children felt included as an important part of Easter celebrations and community activities. The “Little Hands Big Joy” 2026 program is also expected to encourage child development, strengthen unity, and inspire more educational and creative activities in North Sulawesi.
MURI noted that the achievement demonstrated the growing importance of community-based children’s programs in promoting creativity, social connection, and positive cultural values in modern Indonesian society.
