The workshop represented the second collaboration between the Islamic Education Division of the North Maluku Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Agen Literasi Indonesia. Designed to strengthen literacy culture in madrasahs, the initiative encouraged educators and students to improve their writing abilities while fostering a deeper appreciation for literature and creative expression.

Participants were introduced to the techniques of writing anaphora poetry, a literary form characterized by the repetition of a word or phrase at the beginning of successive lines or sentences to create emphasis and rhythm. Beyond teaching poetic techniques, the workshop sought to cultivate stronger literacy skills by enhancing reading comprehension, critical thinking, and written communication among members of the madrasah community.

The program attracted 3,519 participants, including teachers and students from madrasahs throughout North Maluku Province. The scale of participation earned the initiative official recognition from MURI (Indonesian World Records Museum) as the largest anaphora poetry writing activity involving students and teachers.

The literacy movement reflects the North Maluku Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs' ongoing commitment to improving educational quality while supporting the ministry's priority programs through stronger literacy competencies. It also reinforces the broader understanding of literacy—not only as the ability to read, but also as the capacity to develop ideas, express them effectively through writing, and nurture creativity, reflection, and communication skills among both students and educators.
