The plank is widely recognized as a core-strengthening exercise that targets the abdominal muscles, shoulders, back, and legs through sustained body stabilization. Performing the exercise with significant additional weight is considered extremely challenging because it places tremendous stress on multiple muscle groups while demanding precise balance and posture control.

With an additional load of 80 kilograms, Mrunal Arjun Shidhaye’s achievement stands out as a remarkable feat of physical endurance in Asia. The performance also surpassed several previously recognized weighted plank records documented by Indian record organizations.

According to the Asia Book of Records, the accomplishment reflects strong dedication to physical training and highlights the growing popularity of endurance and strength-based fitness activities across Asia.
