The Southern California Railway Museum, formerly known as the Orange Empire Railway Museum, is a railroad museum in Perris, California, United States. It was founded in 1956 at Griffith Park in Los Angeles, before moving to the former Pinacate Station as the "Orange Empire Trolley Museum", in 1958.
The Southern California Railway Museum covers over 100 acres. The museum is home to a vast collection of historical locomotives, rail cars, trolleys, a 3-foot gauge, model trains, and so much more. The museum hosts a number of events throughout the year and is available for corporate and private events. Trains and trolleys operate every weekend with tickets available online and in the gift store.
This museum houses the largest collection of Pacific Electric Railway rolling stock in the world and an expansive collection of more than 200 exhibits featuring historical locomotives, railcars, trolleys, and model trains. This is an ideal excursion for the entire family, and a great field trip for in-person learning.
