30-03-2022

(WorldKings.org) The market covers an area of 34 ha (84 acres).

Liniers Market or Mercado de Liniers is a livestock market in the center of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

It date back to 1900 and was set uo to supply the slaughter houses in Buenos Aires with meat for the city market.

The largest cattle market is in Buenos Aires, Argentina where between 12,000 -18,000 heads of cattle reach the market every day to be bought or sold. The market covers an area of 34 ha (84 acres).

Different auctioneers use the market and sell stock at different times during mart day. Some cattle travel over 1,000km to come to the market and many are in the market the day before the sale.

With so many breed, origin, and weight choices under one open-air roof, it's no wonder buyers from Argentina's biggest meatpackers and supermarkets gather here to negotiate for the lot that best suits their respective needs. And with years in the beef-buying business, they instantly know what to look for here.
