Some 700 chairs of different eras and styles, from functional to modernist, have been accumulating for the past five years in a space that, far from being a storage room for antiques, houses the collection of the Asunción Chair Museum (MUSA).

The museum opened its doors on March 6, 2013, with just 300 chairs and the dedication of Argentine architect Jorge Jury, who from a young age had felt an interest in and affection for these objects that reminded him of his family's history.

Today, the museum features an impressive collection of chairs dating back to various historical periods.
