The Grand Pool of Rabat (La Grande Piscine Municipale de Rabat) is widely recognized as the largest saltwater swimming complex in Africa. Opened in the summer of 2019 as part of the "Rabat, City of Light, Moroccan Capital of Culture" development program, the complex quickly became a staple for summer leisure and community gatherings in Morocco's capital.

The complex features four interconnected saltwater basins designed to accommodate swimmers of all ages and abilities. The amenities range from an Olympic-sized pool and a deep diving pool with diving boards, to shallower areas specifically built for children and beginners.
A defining feature of the Grand Pool is that it is filled with filtered saltwater pumped directly from the Atlantic Ocean. The facility is highly accessible and affordable, drawing up to 8,000 visitors on busy summer days with an entry fee of only 10 Moroccan Dirham (about €1).To ensure a secure environment for families and tourists, the municipal pool operates with a large team of professional lifeguards, on-duty civil protection officers, and dedicated medical staff.
In addition to its immense scale, the complex provides a wide range of free public amenities, including changing rooms, shower areas, children's play zones, and relaxation decks. By blending large-scale civil engineering with accessible community infrastructure, the Grand Pool of Rabat stands as one of the most prominent recreational destinations in North Africa.
